Next quarterly meeting will be this Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church, corner of Douglas and Governor. Ward 6 Alderman Cory Jobe will address group about the application for possible funds to be awarded from the Ward 6 Revitalization & Rehabilitation Fund. Discussion will follow.

Our next quarterly meeting will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2011 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in Shepherd Hall at Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church, located at the corner of Governor and Douglas. Our guest speaker will be a representative of Bobby Shaw Home Repair and Maintenance who will speak about improvements that can be made to enhance the value of your home with a good return on your investment.

Our next meeting will be on Thursday, July 28, 2011, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church, located at the SW corner of Douglas and Governor. We have a limited number of orange tulip bulbs plus some yellow or orange hyacinth bulbs and Easter lilies available for corner plantings. Available on a first come/first served basis, beginning with HWSNA members. If you live on a corner or have a neighbor who lives on a corner and you have permission to beautify that corner space, please contact HWNSA president Carrie Becker at carrie5224@hotmail.com

Aldermanic candidates for Wards 5, 6, 7 and 8 will be participating in a forum to discuss issues pertinent to the involved neighborhoods for those Wards
